So last march, we moved into a new office. We feel great here and things are running super smooth. That calls for a… PARTY! Obviously and within no time, we’re planning exotic limousine services, hosts & hostesses, dj’s, contests, star performances, cocktail bars, lasers and robots, dress codes & invitations written in pure gold send out by delivery drones. This party will be awesome, epic & sehr geil (in no particular order). Yeah well, as if some budget restraints are going to make this party any less epic. Invitations are made and sent out to friends and foes, clients and family, neighbors and Hausverwaltung alike.
There was a thing or two to prepare, of course. Swift enough, catering was ordered, drinks were chilled, party balloons inflated and the music managed! We designed a race-track for our 3 remote controlled cars (smurf, duck & pirate-ship) - what better excuse for getting a bigger office: we need more place to race our toys and what better conversation-opener as: “hey, weren’t you just sliding that race car around the track earlier?”.
There was also a pictionary game corner: a high-tech, HTML5, multiuser, mini showcase: draw a given word on the tablet, partygoers see the result on the big screen and can identify the art on their own smartphones. No cheating allowed!
Plenty of fun was the crowd-sourced photography: just take any picture with the balloon-indicated smartphone and your freshly taken picture ends up on the big screen instantly! Early evening, everything was in full swing, people were chatting away, drinks were poured, snacks were served and since a picture is worth a thousand words: here’s the gallery link you’ve all been waiting for.
As an addendum: What this party really showed us, is that we’re truly surrounded by a crowd of wonderful and inspirational people. It’s a blessing to know you all. If we shine, it’s because you shine. Thank you all warmly for joining and we’re looking forward to see you at the next one!
